UFC 247 is headlined by two title fights: UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones will defend his title against Dominick Reyes, and UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko puts her belt on the line against Katlyn Chookagian on Feb. 8 at Toyota Center in Houston.

The UFC 247 Live  flyweight queen has her next opponent. It was reported on Thursday that Valentina Shevchenko is set to make the third defense of her title when she meets No. 1 ranked, Katlyn Chookagian on Feb. 8, 2020.

Shevchenko is widely considered one of the most dominant and untouchable champions in the sport. Her lone UFC losses both came against current featherweight and bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, and both bouts were closely contested. Shevchenko avenged her only other career loss when she beat Liz Carmouche by decision in August of this year.

Valentina Shevchenko vs Katlyn Chookagian UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko and Katlyn Chookagian square off Friday in Las Vegas.

Reigning women’s flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, will make her next 125-pound title defense against No. 1-ranked division contender, Katlyn Chookagian, at the upcoming UFC 247 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., Feb. 8, 2020 inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Shevchenko (18-3) is coming off her unanimous decision win over Liz Carmouche in the UFC Fight Night 156 main event last August. It was “Bullet’s” fourth straight win and second straight title defense in the flyweight division after a successful run at bantamweight.

 As for Chookagian (13-2), she’s racked up a pair of decision wins over Joanne Calderwood and Jennifer Maia after coming up short against Jessica Eye late last year. “Blonde Fighter” holds a 6-2 record under the UFC banner with wins over Lauren Murphy and Alexis Davis.
